If you are on a different machine than mine, I can’t guarantee this guide will work. All I know is these steps worked for my mid 2015 model. There is a chance these steps work on other models in this generation, but I personally am unsure. This generation runs from mid 2012 to mid 2015. It is the final model of the 3rd Generation of MacBook Pros (“ MacBook Pro with Retina display” as Apple labeled it).
